BOSTON: Review & pics posted!

It’s ALL ABOUT ACCESS, and AF1 will get you in. Spend some time in the city where it all began… The Hub where Paul Revere started his famous ride, Babe Ruth laid down “the curse” and The Bad Boys became America’s Greatest Rock n’ Roll Band. AF1 Members, only you are invited to sign on for the ultimate behind-the-scenes Aerosmith tour in Boston! On this amazing trip, you’ll get exclusive access to the way rock n’ roll is made. Meet Joey Kramer at the world-famous Zildjian Factory where you will witness the centuries-old cymbal production process. Spend the day at the legendary Long View Farm Recording Studios (which are not open to the public!), where hundreds of artists – including The Rolling Stones, Motley Crue and of course Aerosmith - have recorded platinum albums. Come party with us at the Aerosmithsonian at The Hard Rock Café in Boston and visit that killer restaurant in Norwell, MA called Mount Blue. You know the one. Steven & Joe sure do. And if you want throw some tea into the Bay while you’re in town, that’s cool too – just don’t tell ‘em we sent ya .

THIS EVENT IS OVER.  LIVE VICARIOUSLY THROUGH THE REVIEW!

AF1's "Behind the Aerosmith Door" exclusive travel package in Boston happened from May 25-May 27, during some of the rainiest, raw weather on record.  The travelers?  The sunniest, wildest crew and AF1's got it all on record…

Wednesday’s rowdy welcome pahty at the Hard Rock Café: AF1's fearless fans arrived from all over (Arizona! Ohio! California!) to party at the Hard Rock Cafe.  The party rocked out in the trendy private Cavern Club, where there was tons of food, a crazy raffle with prizes for everyone, and three Hard Rock bartenders who were super Aerosmith fans by night's end.  Fans showed off tattoos in "interesting" places.

Thursday at Long View Farms: Chilled in a rockstar-type limo bus and went off to Long View Farm Recording Studio.  Everyone falls in love with this magical place, never before seen by non-rockstars!   This was truly the experience of a lifetime.  Tom and Joey filmed a special video just for the travel group, remembering their days at Long View.  And the fans also got to watch a hilarious video of Steven filmed at the Farm, which showed him doing his farm “chores” in his overalls!

Fans crack up in the Longview "office" watching great vid of Steven chomping on grass and shaking a pitchfork, doing his Farm "chores!"

From left to right: Charlene, Kristen, Nanette, Penny and Johna, touch the magical piano where Steven and Richie Supa wrote “Amazing” in under 2 hours!

In one of the soundboard rooms, it’s all smiles and chills as Jesse, the band’s longtime sound engineer at the Farm, plays “Chip Away the Stone” in blow-you-away, rib-shakin’ surround sound.

Thursday night’s dinner at Mount Blue:
Dinner at the kickin' Mount Blue.  Steven surprised the group at dinner!   The visit was a complete surprise and no one knew until he walked in the door.  No one ate dinner after he left, but lots of ladies cried in joy!  Steven introduced himself to everyone, before taking a chair at the head of the table and looking over the menu.  He talked about his plans to see U2 with Liv that night.  One lucky ladie had never met Steven before...and he gave a big hug to Charlene, our friend from the ill-fated Virginia Beach where three Aerosmith shows were cancelled the past three tours.   Steven told her, “It was an act of God, what happened at Virginia Beach.  What can you do.  But now I’m here!”  It was Charlene’s longtime dream to meet Steven, and AF1 was thrilled to be part of it!  Charlene got her arm signed by him, and the next day had it tattooed!

Steven arrives at dinner and introduces himself to everyone. The table is in shock!

Everyone shopped at the kicky Mount Blue store and showed off their autographed swag.   The limo bus ride home was full of excitement …the Aerosmith buzz from Steven’s surprise visit lasted weeks!   And it wasn’t over yet…

Friday at Zildjian: The Zildjian factory tour was amazing, including the “drummer’s lounge” and the “Hall of Fame.”  And of course, the highlight was Joey’s hour-long visit with the fans!   After a standing ovation and thunderous applause, Joey said “If it wasn’t for the fans, where would we be?”

Here's a great story from the day: Joey met Benji Kenny, who’s wonderful parents, Michael and Patricia, drove him all the way up from Alabama for this special day at Zildjian!  Benji is a longtime member of AF1 and was thrilled to meet Joey.  He has cerebral palsy and his parents explained how Aerosmith's music gives him so much happiness.  The night before, Benji and his parents ate dinner at Mount Blue.  In the middle of dinner, a waitress came over with the phone.  Who was on the line?  It was Steven Tyler!   He chatted with Benji for 15 minutes, a total surprise!

An awesome group photo at Zildjian!  Joey is standing in the middle, behind John who is seated at the drums.  John is Zildjian’s Director of Artist Relations, and was AF1’s esteemed host for the day!  “Joey Rockssssssssssssssssssssss!!!”
