Joe C.
Name: Joe
Story: My husband’s favorite band is Aerosmith – his first show was 1978 – Still has the tour shirt! We have been together most of our lives – 26 years to be exact and my hubby has never missed an Aerosmith concert, EVER and been a fan club member for over 2 decades. That may not seem amazing, however, read on.
In 1995, he was injured in an auto accident - 2 cars impacted him while stopped at a light, just 3 months after our marriage, the accident was very severe and beat ALL the odds the doctors placed on him. NOW, the part about the Aerosmith concerts… While recovering, he heard that Aerosmith was going to be playing and told me, that he was not going to miss the show and GOD as my witness; he pushed harder than I have ever seen to make sure he would be in attendance, and he and I were at the concert watching the band when they hit Long Island. So the Long Island show has much meaning for us!!
Joe lives under the life rule that if the mind is strong, it can make the body recover and his recovery to be at the show, was miraculous, even to the doctors that treated him for the 6+months it took him to be able to walk on his own! To add to his life's experiences, our first child was born and within 3 days, his father (and best friend) passed. Buying a bassinet and casket all in the same week, I pray no one ever has to endure that!
This letter is basically a request that my husband is most worthy of this opportunity. His birthday just passed and to have him meet Steven and Joe would be phenomenal. I would gladly place our family into financial hardship to have Daddy have the chance and pay for the meet, however, Joe is always the first person to say that his wife and daughters deserve it all!! You would never know that his life has been so much, in so little time. To have my husband meet with his idols, well, there are no words to describe that, in fact, I once again, am crying as I writing this.
PLEASE find it in your heart to vote for this!
Thanks for the lending ear and blessings to you. We are planning on being in attendance for the 2 Aerosmith shows – June 26th at Jones Beach Amphitheater and again June 28th at Mohegan Sun Arena. To have a meet, well, there is not enough paper or words in any language to describe that!
Blessings to AFO and the wonderful things you accomplish! Keep the music alive.
