Suzanne T.
Name: Suzanne
Story: I’d like to submit my daughter Samantha T. as the most deserving young fan for the Jones Beach June 26th Concert. I think the boys would be proud of her and so will you…
To look in to her heart (and Aerosmith SOUL) of my daughter Samantha, to hear her voice in (Aerosmith) song or speech, to discuss the lyrics and music from
Aerosmith A-Z (she’s got you covered), to experience her unique sense of rocker style, to view her picture perfect drawings of Steven, Joe and the band… to learn how Aerosmith has affected her life and how in turn, Samantha has touched the lives of countless deserving others because of her understanding, inspiration and appreciation of Aerosmith ….you would begin to understand why she, like so many other deserving fans, should be embraced as the most worthy and deserving fan for the Wheels Up Package upgrade at the Nikon Jones Beach Theater on June 26th.
She was bullied at school for being obsessed with Aerosmith and picked on so much for her taste in music that we eventually had to transfer her to a new school. It’s not so much that my daughter couldn’t deal with the bullies, but little did anyone know what was really going on medically in her life. Kids can be so cruel. It’s difficult to deal with demons at the same time…and the only demon she could relate to is our one and only “Demon of Screamin”…ST himself! I will be forever eternally grateful to Steven, Joe and the boys for being her one constant to pull her through this “nightmare from hell” (as she puts it). As difficult as each day became, she stayed true to herself and to her one and only band – Aerosmith - and let’s admit it, to children in their formative years, it is easier just to follow the crowd. Not Samantha. She “sings her own song” and “walks her own way” and in her black and white Converse knee top Converse laced boots too! Yet, despite how she was constantly treated by others her own age, fighting her own battles, she vowed never to treat any other person with nothing but the utmost respect no matter what their race, religion, tastes or preferences…because everybody deserves to be who they choose to be. What makes Samantha so deserving is not only that she really is a hard core Aerohead – it’s that she gives so much of her heart, time and herself to others in need…when she’s been in need herself. She wants to do as much “good” as she can to erase the bad experience she has gone through.
She faithfully wears her custom made “Life’s a Journey, Not a Destination” bracelet as reassurance that she CAN and WILL get through anything that life throws her way especially now that she knows that there’s a “light at the end of the tunnel and it is indeed her! As a singer herself, like Steven, Samantha has no problem taking center stage and doing “what it takes” to deliver her personal best and to bring out the best in others….and to inspire others to exceed their potentials. She is someone who is determined to make a difference in this world! Sammi has poured her heart into supporting our military overseas in Iraq, Afghanistan and Korea by organizing letters and gifts to thank these very deserving people in our lives. She’s giving back constantly and heading up these efforts and getting lots of other students involved. She is most proud of her achievements in working with other types of deserving friends….animals - at the local shelter (the cause she cares most about). She has raised so many donations because she needs to speak out for those who can not for themselves. Her good deeds do not stop there. Samantha’s a singer, and has been told her voice is a “Gift from God”. She sings for the residents at the local nursing home – always Aerosmith!) and partakes in a program called Glamour Gals where she gives makeovers and manicures to elderly women. Doesn’t matter if they are 3 years of age or 103 – everybody knows Samantha T and everybody knows that Samantha’s “all about the Bad Boys of Boston”.
Our daughter lived a nightmare that no child should have to experience. It is my heartfelt hope of all hopes, as a mother, that she will have the ultimate experience of meeting Joe and Steven that will bring happiness into her childhood. It was a tough time, not only for her, but for me as her mother and our family as well. Her prized possessions include the framed Steven Tyler photo on her nightstand and Joe Perry’s guitar pick from seeing him and his sons play a benefit concert at the Hard Rock. You guessed it, that photo gets a kiss every single night with a wish upon her Steven Tyler Star that she can continue to Dream On until her DREAM of meeting Steven and Joe come true! Please look into the heart of a very special 12 year old deserving Aerosmith Soul, my daughter Sam. She’s an All-American girl who deserves to meet the Greatest Classic American Band of All Time’s Leading Men!! Samantha sincerely believes that if you do a good deed it will come back to you. I hope after all of her deserving deeds and goodwill for others, it will someday come back to her!
I of course, have told my daughter that there are many MANY deserving fans and many different deserving reasons for each and every one of them. God bless every deserving fan of AF1, God bless Aerosmith and God Bless the United States of the America. Keep on Rocking our Worlds…nobody does it better! Thank you!
