Give us your funniest Aerosmith story.
I have to combine these two questions together.
Picture a sunny, warm day in either early Spring or Summer in 1972 (or may have been 1971).
I was high- school age - either my Freshman or Sophmore year.
My friend Michelle and I were walking through the Boston Gardens (not the arena, the gardens ) enjoying our Brigham's ice cream cone.
Ahead to our right were these five (young and skinny - but of course a little older than us) boys hanging on a park bench.
As we passed by, they started calling out to us. Hey, we were used the attention
One of the boys asked if he could lick my ice cream cone. It was the 70's, so of course I handed it to him to share.
They were very friendly and all excited about their 'band'. The guy eating my ice cream said he was the drummer (Joey Kramer - was that really you?). One of them (later learned was Steven Tyler - yikes!), said they were 'going to be famous one day'; they had just come back from Europe where they had toured opening for The Kinks. Said their bands' name is Aerosmith... and said again that one day they would be famous.
Michelle and I looked at each other and thinking like ..."ya, sure"....
We all talked for a while, and then they invited use to a party..... Since we didn't really believe them, (sadly) we declined... they kept asking even as I got my ice cream cone back and we started to walk away.
I can still picture the guys hanging around the bench. They tried so hard to convince us they were telling us the truth.
Fast forward several months .. turned on my 'clock radio' .... only to hear Dream On... and the dj talking about the band Aerosmith.... my chin fell to the floor.... Guess they weren't pulling our legs.... and we must have missed a great party!!
Give us your favorite Aerosmith lyric or quote (one liner).
