Week of 8/14 - Judi L.
When did you first hear Aerosmith?
I don't remember the exact first time I heard Aerosmith but I know it was back in the mid 70's when we got MTV and I would watch all those fabulous video's in my kitchen while I cooked for my family. I fell in love with them then and have been ever since. Even though they have always been super popular, I don't think they are appreciated enough for the genius of their music. Their talent is amazing....best rock & roll band....ever!
What’s your favorite Aerosmith song?
Oh, that would be impossible to pick...I can give you a list of some of my favorite hits...What it Takes, The Other Side, Living on the Edge, Rag Doll....but I love so many album cuts too....Hangman Jury, Never Loved a Girl, Permanent Vacation, Chiquita, Line Up...I could go on forever...
Tell us about your most memorable Aerosmith moment.
I am still waiting for my most memorable Aerosmith moment...I am hoping that someday I can meet Steven and get a pic of us together.
He is my inspiration and meeting him is #1 on my bucket list! If there would have been any way to get the Meet & Greet ticket when they
were here in Oakland last week, I would have but I just couldn't swing it. I am praying that I get another chance someday.
Give us your funniest Aerosmith story.
I guess it was the excitement I was experiencing the few days before the Oakland concert. I bought the tickets for myself and my daughter
and I just was more and more obsessed the closer it came to the concert. I was so afraid something would go wrong before we got there since we were coming from San Francisco that I insisted we leave several hours early. She didn't think it was necessary but I kept singing to her "I don't want to miss a thing". She just kept chuckling at my enthusiasm.
Give us your favorite Aerosmith lyric or quote (one liner).
"If you can judge a wise man buy the color of his skin, then mister your a better man than I"
Tell us about yourself…
Well, I am the same age as Steven and lived in Nebraska for all my life until I moved to San Francisco 2 years ago
to start a new life...it was the best decision I ever made and I feel liberated for it...I love the diversity here. Aerosmiths
music helped me though some tough times and decisions I had to make to get me to where I am today and I will
always be grateful for it. The music will never grow old...
Your favorite way to relax...
I love watching the waves & walking on the beach with my dog while listening to Aerosmith on my ipod and I enjoy my yoga class.
Your favorite breakfast...
Cottage cheese & fresh fruit
Your words of wisdom...
"Principles only mean something if you stick by them when they're inconvenient"
