I gave thanks to our Aero boys today
For having them in my life helping to provide so many memories.
And I give thanks to our Aero boys tomorrow
For all the memories which are still yet to come
Second Place: Besart Stavileci
As an Aerosmith fan…
As I removed the earplugs after listening to Full Circle for the first time, I thanked my friend for sharing the song with me.
As I grew older, I kept thanking my parents for not only funding my entire Aerosmith collection, but encouraging me to share it with my friends so they'd learn about a great band.
Today, as a fan who knows every aero song out there, I am more than thankful to the five guys we love, for making it all happen.
As an average human being, I am thankful to Aerosmith for giving love a whole new meaning, and singing me to sleep every night with the amazing Angel, Crazy and Lay It Down.
As a responsible human being, I am thankful to them for reminding us when the world was going insane, but also urging us to celebrate life when boredom prevailed.
As a cynic, I am thankful to them for sticking to their music today, in a marketplace of all sorts of beats, sounds and non-meaningful money-making lyrics.
As a person who is angry for missing the 70s, I am thankful to Aerosmith for taking me back to those vibes through their music.
As a, maybe, too sympathetic, I am thankful to them for their courage to battle life-taking diseases and accidents, and sticking around and still rocking for us.
As a firm believer in friendship, I am thankful to Steven, Joe, Tom, Brad and Joey for putting their differences aside and coming together, as brother and friends, for their and our passion – Aerosmith.
As a skeptic, I am thankful to them for finding the strength and determination to get clean, after a deep abyss, to come back and never let us down again.
As a college student really far away from home, I am thankful to Aerosmith and their families for sacrificing each other for us, the fans.
As a teenager of the 21st century, terribly missing his best friends, I am thankful to their ballads for letting me cry when I'm hurting, and to their rocking tunes for letting me party when I'm with them.
As a south eastern European, never having seen them live, I am thankful they are going on tour, so I get to see them now, here in the US.
As a scholar, who seeks mind enrichment and knowledge every day, I am thankful to Aerosmith for being an ornament to my life.
Finally, celebrating Thanksgiving for the first time even though I am not American, passionately, and quite simply, I am thankful to Aerosmith for being Aerosmith.
