Fan of the Week

When did you first hear Aerosmith?
Around the age of 10; my brother was a huge ^A^ fan in the 70's. They were scary to me then... ha ha, but I soon found myself stealing the Rocks record and playing it in the basement.  ^A^ is infectious. 
 
 
What's your favorite Aerosmith song?
Now THAT is a tough one.  I would have to say Dream On; since it was my first kiss song. (true story)

Tell us about your most memorable Aerosmith moment.
Meeting Steven Tyler after many years of WAITING !!!  He was just at the end of his Road Rally the summer of 08, which ended in Boston and was followed by a fund raiser concert.  My friend, who was visiting me from NC, insisted we meet him.  She KNEW how much this would mean to me; and she had already been fortunate to have met him twice!  When the time was right, we snuck inside the enclosed gate after the ride and we VERY patiently and quietly waited for him to walk this way!  After a short time, which seemed like a lifetime, HE CAME OVER !!  He came right up to us, with that big warm smile, and when she introduced him to me, I was so nervous I didn't feel my legs and everything and everyone around me just disappeared.  I tried so hard to keep it together, but when he hugged me, I just broke down in tears.  I had waited so long.  What a moment!  He was standing right in front of me... are you kidding me?  He is the most amazing rock legend; and even through decades of dealing with crazed fans, he is everything I had dreamed he'd be, ... and more.   Gracious, funny, warm and incredibly humble.  Life is beautiful.
