When did you first hear Aerosmith?
Well I don't think I can remember a specific age, because I remember hearing them all through my childhood, but the first time I distinctly remember hearing them was when I was about eight; I was watching some show on special effects and they were talking about Aerosmith's "Livin' on the Edge" video. When Joe's guitar solo came up, it was mind blowing. I thought for sure it was the most exquisite sound I'd ever heard, and right then, when Joe finally stepped off those tracks, I was convinced he was a God! (Some things never change, incidentally.....)
What's your favorite Aerosmith song?
Honestly, there are so many to choose from, but hands down, my favorite is Sweet Emotion. Also up there on my list are Mama Kin, Livin' on the Edge, Love in an Elevator, and actually, Walk on Water!
Tell us your most memorable Aerosmith moment.
I've been to five concerts so far, and durring my fourth concert, my father and I actually had fifth row seats. When they did Pink, Steven turned, looked right at me and sang a bit of it to me! I was in such shock, I pointed to myself and went, "ME?!" to which he points at me and goes, "YOU, honey!" with that epic grin of his. I think I died a little bit! Ha!
Funniest Aerosmith moment?
I guess that would have to be.... the cell phone incident. LOL It actually happened at that same show in which Steven sang Pink to me; my mother loves their song I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing and asked me if I would call her when they played it, so I did, and I held up the phone the entire song. I was certain Steven made a glance at me durring the song...... I can't remember which song they played next but regardless, what I do remember was Steven leaning against Joe as he did his guitar solo; Steven's rockin' out and he looks straight at me, points and makes eye contact-- he already has my undivided attention-- and makes a motion like he's chattin' away on a cell phone. He and I burst out laughing and he smiles at me; it was an incredible moment because for those five seconds, it was me, Steven and noone else, you know? We haven't met officially but sometimes I wonder if I shouldn't count that! Haha!
Favorite Aerosmith line?
Oh my gosh, do I have to choose just one?? Hmm..... wow, that's really hard. Probably something from Livin' on the Edge. Does Tom's baseline from Sweet Emotion count? No? :( Hmm......... LOL
Tell us about yourself...
Well I'm a preschool teacher, a certified medical assistant and a special effects makeup artis...... I play with kids, give shots and make fake blood and guts.... I'm definately a rocker girl, VERY much a tomboy (it's what happens when you have four brothers), although I do have my girly side. I was born in Long Beach, California, and grew up in Newport Beach.
Favorite way to relax...
Listening to Aerosmith, of course. :D As well as kickin' it at home with my man, tellin' him all the stories of America (he's from the Siberian portion of Russia).
Your favorite breakfast...
Breakfast tacos and a glass of hibiscus tea from Kerbey Lane Cafe here in Austin, TX
Words of wisdom?
"To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch... to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeded!" --Ralph Waldo Emerson
