Week of 5/5 - Kacey

When did you first hear Aerosmith?
I can remember listening to my mom cleaning the house and listening to this guy with a high pitch voice singing on the radio. I was about 6 or 7 and she would listen to them all the time… in the car, in the house, sing them in the store, in the shower and so I became intrigued by this band. I knew all their lyrics to a lot of songs by the age of 8. Finally, I saw one of their music videos on MTV and absolutely fell in love. I thought Steven was so cute and would tell all my friends I was going to marry him. HAHA From that moment I saw him, I haven’t stopped listening to them or going to see them in concert. The only thing I have not done is meet them… hopefully that can change one day.

What’s your favorite Aerosmith song?
Wow, naming just one? I have so many like Dream On, Sweet Emotion, Just Push Play, Falling in love is hard on the knees, What it takes… but if I had to pick my favorite song it would have to be Deuces are Wild. I do not know why I love that song so much but I do. Its not one many people have heard of, but it is just a great song.

Tell us about your most memorable Aerosmith moment.
The most memorable moment I have about them is when I went to their “Just Push Play” concert tour in Dallas, Texas. We had 2nd row tickets and it was the closest I had ever been to the band in all 9 concerts I have been to. Steven was sitting down near the drums and Joe was playing his part in Love in an Elevator. Steven looked ay Joe and mouthed “I love it when you do that”, me and mom started cracking up and making it a big deal and somehow Steven looked at us and pointed at us and started laughing cause he knew we saw him say that. I was THRILLED!!!!! I could not stop talking about him looking at me. That was the most memorable moment I have about Aerosmith.

Give us your funniest Aerosmith story.
Me and my boyfriend were in the house and we decided to have a contest. He is fully aware I am probably one of the biggest Aerosmith fans there is, but for some reason he wanted to challenge me to a contest. It was who could name the Aerosmith song the fastest. My mom got on my computer and picked 10 songs, I got all 10 songs by the first note on the song. He sat there with his mouth open and could not believe it. And the songs weren’t hard, they were popular but I still did it ridiculously quick. It was so funny. So then he wanted to have a contest about Journey, who he loves. He beat me on those ones, but it was still funny seeing him trying to beat me at Aerosmith songs. Come on now, quiz me on Aerosmith… be prepared to lose.

Give us your favorite Aerosmith lyric or quote (one liner).
“Every moment spent with you is a moment I treasure” (Lyric from I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing”)

Tell us about yourself…

I am 22 years old and I live in Dallas, TX. I am going to college right now at the University of Texas at Dallas and I will be graduating in May 2010. I will be getting my Teaching Certification to teach EC-6th grade.  I absolutely love kids, so teaching is like a calling to me. I also have been a dancer for 19 years. I do all kinds of dance such as Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip-Hop, Modern, Lyrical and Pointe. I also am a dance teacher and have been for 4 years. I absolutely love dancing and hope to open up my own studio a few years after I graduate college and get married and have a family. I live life everyday to the fullest and don’t take anything I have in my life for granted. Too many people out there are suffering, and I appreciate everything I ever get to do and acquire.

Your favorite way to relax...
Sitting in the bathtub and listening to my Aerosmith CD’s. I also like to get my nails and toes down and that is very relaxing to me. Sitting on the beach and tanning with a Margarita is the best though.

Your favorite breakfast...
I like eggs with cheese, biscuits with gravy, bacon and OJ!

Your words of wisdom...
Don’t take anything you have for granted in life. Trust me, someone out there has it much worse than you do.
