Week of 9/1 - Rachel

When did you first hear Aerosmith?
When I was about 7 or 8 Pump was newly released and my aunt would listen to the cassette in the car.  "Janie's Got a Gun" would be blarin'. Special thanks to Aunt Melinda for introducing me to the best band ever!

What’s your favorite Aerosmith song?
How do I pick just one?  I guess I'd have to say "Kings and Queens."

Tell us about your most memorable Aerosmith moment.
It was at the New Orleans show just days after 9/11.  They opened the show with Joe Perry playing his American flag guitar alone up on the platform at the back of the stage.  He was playing the National Anthem and the entire place was silent.  It was the most amazing thing and gives me goosebumps to this day.

Give us your funniest Aerosmith story.
Hmmm... When Aerosmith played the Super Bowl Halftime Show in Tampa I was one of the extras who ran on the field.  While we were waiting in the hall to run onto the field Joe Perry walks by and I start jumping up and down and yelling and everybody around me was just standing there and looking at me like I was crazy.  I guess they were all there to see NSync and Britney Spears.

Give us your favorite Aerosmith lyric or quote (one liner).
Life's a journey, not a destination.  (I know, real original) :)

Tell us about yourself…
I am 26 years old, married, and mother to a beautiful one year old little girl.  I am a huuuge Aerosmith fan.  I think I've been to 8 shows since I turned 18 in 2001. And I plan on going to many more...

Your favorite way to relax...
With a good book and a little sunshine.

Your favorite breakfast...
Stuffed french toast.

Your words of wisdom...
Everything happens for a reason. Though we sometimes can't understand it at the time, every hard experience makes us a better and stronger person.
